A man with three outstanding warrants for larceny and DUI was shot and killed by a Federal Way police policeman Tuesday night. The person was identified as Jesse Charles Young, some sort of 23 year-old resident associated with Tacoma. Your incident occurred when Young led the police on a short chase before crashing the stolen pickup that he was driving into a guardrail. In accordance with the police report, in the event the officer approached the truck by walking, Young tried to do down the officer, and then the officer opened fire. Young was hit in the head, as reported by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, and he died at Harbor-View Medical.

Before the conflict between the officer and Young, the incident first arose in the event the truck’s owner recognized his vehicle and called the authorities, who tried to cease Young after he got into the truck in some sort of Wal-Mart parking lot. The officer who shot Young may be with the Police Division for seven years. He has also been placed on administrative leave, which is normal procedure after an officer is involved in a shooting.
